I’m taking this Modern and Contemporary Poetry class (LINK) beginning September 10 taught by Al Fireis. ModPo (the course’s nickname) already has a bunch of eager twitter followers and facebook buddies on it’s pages. After reading tweets and posts, I’m becoming more excited for the forum discussions we’re going to have. I wouldn’t find conversations about poetry at a school where the librarians are excited about kids inhabiting a table space after school. I mean, we have yellow poetry books with cracking spines and stiff pages in our shelves. ModPo would be a good place to learn more about poetry. Plus, the ModPo students seem to be their own community now. I’m glad to be a part of it. You should join, too.
